Where do I start when trying to change my diet to more all-natural?

I have been sick since November with a head cold and a sinus infection. I've tried antibiotics (don't work), so now I wonder if my diet is to blame. I drink way too much coffee, for one thing, and my groceries are primarily all pre-canned or pre-cooked items. Will shopping at a natural foods store help? What food items should I focus on to boost my immune system and help me feel better?

Just like you said - a more balance, more natural diet.

I' suggest starting out by replacing sodas/sweetened beverages with water, white breads with whole-grain varieties (you can get used to these in time), and maybe buying a crockpot if you don't already have one so that you can make yourself some more natural stews or soups (you can buy fresh or frozen vegetables for these).

Eat fresh fruit in place of desert. Simple things like that.

Eat a lot of fruit - oranges and clementines are my personal faves. Drink more liquids -- cut WAY back on coffee, try tea instead - green tea is essential. Anything with lots of vitamins - I recommend V8 juices and smoothies. Stop eating junk food - caffeine can cause your system to crash. Eating fast food can make you feel depressed and slow down your immune system as well. If you take these steps - consistently for about 3 weeks, you should have successfully flushed out your system. At this point, you should be doing better and you can go back to eating how you were to a certain extent -- if the energy and attitude boosts aren't enough to keep you off your processed and just-add-water diet forever!

I have a friend that practices the all natural way of eating and these are some of the things she does:
Bottled water only
Brown rice and whole grain products
No preservatives in anything
Organically grown vegetables
No artificial sweeteners
She shops a grocery store that only sells this kind of food.

there is no such thing of "natural food" in america...
everything single thing has some chemical in it..
but i guess oranges would help?
