Okay, Christians....so why do you wear a cross?

I dont, but I would if I owned one. I have yet to replace the one I lost a few months ago.

So, with all the questions about it latley, lets clear the air, why DO you wear a cross, and do you think it is strange in anyway, being that it is a symbol of the implement that lead to Christs death?

My simple answer to my own question is:

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.1 Corinthians 1:18 (NIV)

Makes me want to run out and buy a new one!

Galatians 6:14
But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

The Cross symbolizes faith in Jesus Christ, the same as the star of David represents Faith in Judaism. I do not wear a cross but it is totally understandable why people do. The cross is not a symbol of a tragedy but of the love of Christ who overcame sin and death for his people, it is a sign of victory!

The cross symbolizes the power of the resurrection. Jesus in not on the cross. Why? Cause death couldn't keep it's hold on Him. Just like Peter said in the Acts.

I wear a cross because it is an easily recognizable symbol for what degradation Jesus suffered in my stead.
That and I could never figure out how to wear a really large stone like the one that was rolled away from His tomb.
Edit: What Schneb said is kind of what I am getting at.
