Redbud question?

I have a very healthy redbud that is about 4 years old and as tall as my head. At what point can I expect it to start putting on blooms in the spring rather than just leafing out?

Live in Northeast Arkansas. Our 2 older redbuds in the front yard are blooming like crazy.

Although development of young redbud to the flowering stage is rapid, they typically don't flower much until they reach about 7 years old. Young redbuds have been observed first flowering when less than 7 years old but do not fruit the first year of blossoming.

Ought to be blooming already. What part of the country are you in? If you are prone to frosts late into the spring, the frosts may be killing off the flower buds. Redbuds are blooming here in KS, right now.
