How do I reinstall LexBce to my computer?

I tried to follow the instructions that lexmark gave me by deleating all lexbces.* instances that I found on the computer. Then I'm supposed to extract LexBce.* from the disk that came with the printer. I'm good so far, I think, I know how to find it on the disk but they tell me to go into command prompt and I'm lost there. I'm afraid I'm going to make the problem worse.
I'm running Windows XP with a Lexmark 3100 series printer. The spooler has stopped. I know about the dependencies. I've got RPC started but when I tried to restart the Lexbce it gave me an error message telling me that it couldn't be started in a timely manner.
I hope this is enough detail.

The biggest problem I'm having is in extracting the files from the CD Rom to the system 32 folder. Is there a way to do this w/o using the Command Prompt?

Sometimes it's just easier to uninstall the entire printer then reinstall it from scratch. I've got an old X1150 all in one and had a similar problem last year. The Lexmark techs were helpful and all, but nothing seemed to work. My memory ain't what it used to be but I seem to recall going into the menu (start > all programs) and right clicking on Lexmark > uninstall > follow the prompts and wizards. Once the printer was uninstalled I did an advanced search for all files and folders containing Lexmark (start > search > all files and folders and check marked 1st three items under more advanced options.) Found several references to Lexmark, deleted them all and rebooted. From that point the printer reinstalled without hitch.
