Walk the dorms with me and listen to hip hop gangster music playing violent tunes, see Billy Bible get mocked out of class and silenced in the class, step over 3somes and out of control sexual promiscuity in the co-ed dorms, notice every other kid sleeping in instead of being in class, hear professors rant against God, Christians, creation, and capitalism, stop by the beer-guzzling drunk fraternities, watch as protestors scream out against America, count the endless piercings and tatoos on every inch of the "I've got my rights" student's bodies.............then after you puke at modern America's college campuses, the answer should be pretty clear....Show more

The only thing you can do is pray that they will be safe. If this kind of massacre can happen in Blacksburg, then it can happen anywhere. I graduated from Virginia Tech and it is a beautiful, quiet place where the only excitement the police ever get is maybe breaking up some loud fraternity parties (until the freaked inmate escaped last August and shot the deputy and the guard). I think it was just a whacko who freaked out and started shooting. The sad thing to me is that someone who is so mentally ill could have the access to weapons and the knowledge to be able to reload ammunition so quickly and shoot so many people singlehandedly. what a wonderful and concerning question. there really isnt a clear cut way to ever stop this kind of thing from happening and they seem to be happening more and more. it could probably all begin or start with our little children. we never know what kind of environment they are being raised in but there should be a class at school that teaches tolerance. people seem to lack that these days. they dont have tolerance for anything and they totally lack coping skills. i think those two things are very important. kids want to fight and shoot and kill instead of thinking things through on a rational and safe level. dont you agree. i dont know how we can keep out children safe. thats another great question. we can only hope that they will come home to us every day safe and sound and without incident. and for those families that have lost a child in the shooting today, if they are religious then i pray they will get through this terrible ordeal and that god be with them in their time of sorrow and later in their time of healing. and for the survivors i can only hope they will seek mental help to cope with what they have been through. dont you agree?...Show more

have you even been to a public skool with kids above the age of 11 (6th grade) listen to all the rumors and stuff about violence snd someonr kickin some1 elses butt. also the music is so violent it makes kids think we have to be like that in order to be popular even though you can try to prevent it there is always gonna be a crazy 1 in the skool sometimes there are 3, 4 ,or even 27 of them talk to your kids and make them understand that being violent is not kool or even will make you popular...Show more

I want more than anything to stop all this. I wish I had the power to prevent these massacres from happening all over the world. These kind of issues make me want to start some kind of charity or something to see what I can do to help....Show more
