My mother wears it and it actually looks awesome on her. She has had some facial surgery for skin cancer and Bare Minerals does the trick in covering the scars. She even looks flawless in pictures these days. It's amazing... however I tried it and it looked awful on me!! It made my pores look so much larger than they really are. I think it just depends on your skin type.
I would suggest finding a store like Sephora and having them put some on. When I try a new makeup... I go in and have the girls working there apply the makeup that I am considering buying, then tell them I am going to go shop some more and see how if feels and wears during that time. If I like it and it feels good... I go back and buy it!

I have just switched to a mineral foundation and am loving it! I was advised to go for an american make called Colorlab which is even better than Bare Essentials because colorlab customer makes the product in front of you to EXACTLY match your skin tone and colour.
The last foundations I used were Bobbi Brown, Revlon and Chanel..I just got sick of that heavy feeling and looking too made up. The mineral one is much better and light..all it is a light powder..it also helps in healing those time of the month pimples!
I'm someone who spends a lot of money on her skin and I wanted to switch to a lighter product which would not harm my skin. I still use MAC studio finish concealer, SPF 35 for my undereye area because it is superb..but it blend well with my mineral powder.
I'm not a scientist but I do hop what they say about Mineral Foundation is true…how good it is for the skin. Either way, it gives a beautiful and natural sheer finish.

I think Bare Minerals is a wonderful foundation. It's great for the skin because it allows it to breathe. It also blends better and allows you to adjust the coverage. It is expensive, but if you shop on eBay you can get it for less and some of the eBay sellers have made their own which is a lot less expensive. You can also buy sample sizes on eBay so if you don't like it, you haven't spent a fortune.

I really love its foundation and mineral veil, it just feel super light on skin and I have never felt this good with any foundation else. You can check the source on the list of items from bare escentuals and my reviews.

I agree, Bare Minerals, is pricey but I get good results with it. It feels very light and covers well (I have combination skin with a few scars). However, I do not use the skin rever-upper (it comes with the starter kit) because it irritates my skin. Otherwise, I've had fewer breakouts with this product.
