Help my kids are dealing with racism in their school and on the bus. What should I do???

Question

I have 2 kids one is in the elementary school and the other in high school. My older son came home today and said he was not going back to that racist school ever, I asked him what happenned, he said the kids are calling him racist names such as **** and *******. My son is all white we lived in Mexico for 3 months and because of that he is a ****. They also were saying things about his teeth because they are bucked teeth and do not touch his mouth cause you will get rabies. My older son is a big kid he is 5 feet 9 and weighs 190 not small by any means yet he came home today and was crying my son does not cry this worries me. It worries me because his little brother who is half american and mexican just got out of the mental ward because he wanted to kill himself over the racist remarks he gets and the kids making fun of his race. He is only in 5th grade yet this is happening in the school and on the bus. What should I do my kids are being emtionally abused and no really cares

Discuss this problem with the principals of both schools. If nothing is resolved , consider moving to another school district.

I went though the same thing.  I was the unpopular color (white), as well. In the morning, I was near the start of the route.  I could just sit in the front seats.  The problem kids would not sit there.  On the way home if I could not run to the bus fast enough to get in the first few seats, I would get off the bus and walk.  It was only about 3 miles.  I was able to avoid the problems that way.

The teacher will do nothing.  The problem kids cuss and call names in Spanish.  None of the teachers spoke Spanish, so they got away with it.  It did not good to complain, the teachers will not touch the Spanish speaking kids.

home school. I am serious, homed schooled children do far better on sat's and other curriculum then Theo's of public education. The schools these days don't care. The billions of dollars thrown at the system and nothing gets better. Home school your kids it's the greatest gift you can give them.

If your kids behave like aliens and can't communicate in the same tongue, they probably are frightening the other children. Would you welcome a creepy spider into your presence? 

There are many foreign students in every school and they seem to fit in with their American peers.  Maybe, your kids will be happier going to school in Mexico.

I to was picked on in school because of my size and speech problem. If you have a loving family and tell yourself you are better than they are and prove it be exceeding in school programs and grades. If you believe in yourself, then it don't matter what they say. If you so sign of weakness, then it will continue and get worst.
