help my kids are dealing with racism in their school and on the bus. What should I do???

teasing is the worst thing for a childs self esteem! I personally would move them to another school. You can't control other people's kids! Especially if your baby is already suicidal! C'mon mom! that is aweful! And you are the only one who can change their circumstance! Look at what happened at Virgina Tech....all these school shootings and massacures! they all stem somewhere from teasing. It's so sad! not saying your kids would become murderers but that's one effect...you never know these days.

Preach until they can not take it any more about "sticks and stones..." It is very important for them to keep their heads up during other peoples ignorant comments and continue on.

Some children can be very cruel and most likely have been taught their ways by the influences of their parents. Unfortunately these ways can be hurtful to others.

Most of the time when others make racial comments it's because of their own insecurities. You need to share that info with your children. Also, a lot of times I have noticed that when people call someone else names that is usually what they feel about themselves deep down inside.

Until your children get through this it may be better to continue giving them a ride just to show your support.
