Have you been vaccinated for COVID? If so, how did it go? If not, why?
This has been a debate or questionable topic, so it made me curious to ask. Explain your experience if you have gotten vaccinated. And if you haven't, explain why you won't or haven't yet.

Got my second dose yesterday. No symptoms but injection site pain for a couple of days both times. I think I have to wait 10 days before I can change into my Superman suit and be invincible.

I had it last week, had a sore arm for 3 days. But I have to say I my temperature went up 2 days ago and it lasted until this afternoon. And I don't know if its related but my stress level was off the charts, I looked like I had sunburn, but I was trying to get my 92 yr stepfather motivated to get dressed for doctor appt. that they fit us in because he was so incessant coughing.

I have not had the vaccine as my health is poor and the doctor actually told me that I may be at risk to get sick if I have the vaccine.

Yes, I've been vaccinated. It was very efficient -- in and out in 20 minutes. A little soreness from the second shot (none from the first) and now I can get together with my family again. I'm high risk, so they didn't want me to get sick. I can't imagine why anyone would risk getting Covid-19.

Yes. The second shot i felt fine till 24 hours after and then i felt like i was going to die, it was horrible...but it only lasted 6 hours. I work in the hospital, it’s not optional for me

No, I have not been vaccinated.
I have a needle phobia so I won't be getting the shot.

There's no debate in the minds of the people who have been vaccinated. The vaccines WORK very well, and they are safe. YES, they cause some side effects in some people. But those are mild for the most part, and they rarely last more than a day or two at the most.
I'm waiting to get the J&J vaccine, when it is available in my area. So far, none of the pharmacies around me have it as yet. I could have gotten either of the the other two vaccines, and can still do this, but I prefer to wait and take the J&J one because I don't want to have to go through the hassle of getting vaccinated twice.
And to add... I work in a state run LTC facility, and all of our residents have been fully vaccinated by this point. NOT ONE of them has been ill with COVID-19 since the vaccinations were given in January. They have had other issues, yes, but not this. And the facility I work for has closed its COVID-19 isolation/quarantine unit to residents, because they no longer need it.
I have several relatives who've been vaccinated with one vaccine or another, and NONE of them have reported more than mild side effects that didn't last long.
The anti-vaccination crowd has tried to stir up controversy when there isn't any. It's true that there have been issues with the AstraZenaca vaccine, but you need to remember that AZ is NOT an American company. It's BRITISH owned and based in the UK, and they have different standards there than we do here. OUR FDA IS LOOKING at the AZ vaccine and running tests to be sure it's safe. If they determine that it is, they will likely approve it for use here in the States.
I have every confidence that the vaccines are safe and effective. They do what they are supposed to.

It's not actually a questionable topic; anti-vaccers have created drama over a scientifically safe way out of the pandemic.
