As an adult, why do I have to raise myself?

Why are you still whining about this? As an adult, why can't you raise yourself? It's never been easier to learn the things you need to learn. You've got an entire library/encyclopedia/cookbook/financial manager at your fingertips if you have a computer. Do some research, start making decisions and get on with your life. Your parents didn't teach you what you wanted to know, so you will have to learn it yourself. 

Call your community college, make an appointment with an academic advisor and take a career aptitude test. It will help you define your interests and how they relate to specific careers. The academic advisor can discuss specific career programs that they offer which you should be able to complete in two years. But you have to motivate yourself to accomplish something with your life instead of expecting your parents to do it for you.

Ok.... The world doesn't owe you anything once you turn 18. Most young adults want their freedom and will do what it takes to learn how to live on their own. Read up online about budgeting, get a full time job, and apply for subsidized housing/get a roommate if necessary. There are advantages to having your own door with a lock.

Necessity is what drives people to do things outside of their comfort zone. People go to work regardless if they like their job or not. There are definitely some crappy jobs out there, but if someone is desperate for a paycheck they'll do it. Your parents won't be around forever to take care of you. This isn't the first time we've been treated to this question.
