What is a good adhesive to fix a suction mount of a shower wand to a porscelin tile?

I have tried to attach the mount with a silicone adhesive similar to caulk but it and the wand keeps falling.

I have also tried the obvious by moistening the suction mount to the tile. If it had worked I wouldn't need to try the adhesive.

yikes. this one is tougher than it reads.

I was first thinking a 2 part epoxy. However, the problem with this (and using liquid nails) is that you are trying to stick to rubber on the other end. the ceramic tile would be ok with any of the above.

I assume the rubber (suction cup) is some sort of silicone or soft urethane. your only chance to really get a good bond with this is to try a soft 2 part urethane. In this case, I would be hitting it with a primer from Lord (459T) before using a 2 part urethane.

I would agree that the suction cup should be enough to hold the unit in place. using a urethane to prep the ceramic surface may be enough to allow the suction cup to stick with suction.

A suction mount is supposed to work with (unbelievable as it sounds) suction. It helps to moisten the inside of the cup first but by putting silicone in it you prevent it from making an airtight seal. Start over with a fresh mount.
