What prompted Sreesanth to get involved in spot fixing?
I can understand what really attract for uncapped players. But Sreesanth play in international cricket. He already earns too much from BCCI contract + IPL contacts + sponsorship contracts. What was the need for some odd 40 lakh Rupees ? Or was themoney not enough ?

Greed could be the answer but his lawyer is disputing Delhi Police's theory & he is saying that Sreesanth hasn't been caught talking to the bookies.
Delhi Police on the other hand is saying that not only he was recorded talking to the bookies, he was also found with a woman, supplied by the bookies, when he was arrested.
Let's see how this case is handled but he sure is a very big fish in the police net.
He was not part of team India for a long time & he was apparently getting married in Sep.13, which could be another distraction for him, as money is of essence even for a boy. Then perhaps he has been doing it for long enough & only got caught now. I hope he can come out of this messy situation, which is looking tough.
He has tarnished the image Indian cricket for sure, as the other 2 were unknown names. Him with his fake aggression, was already under the public scanner & his fall would please many, whom he must have upset with his silly antics on the ground in the past..

Everybody knows that IPL is a center of match fixing and corruption. So there should not be any shock by latest spot fixing scandal and Sreesanth or two other cricketers are not isolated case. What will you say about a big no ball by RP Singh or three catches dropped by Pollord in a row. Why, even in yesterday's match between Rajasthan and Hyderabad, players of Rajasthan did not go for run out appeal in a clear run out. IPL is all about vulgar money. We audience have our daily fix of cricket-entertainment.
Not only there is spot fixing but also matches are scripted and it is pre decided which teams are going to play off round and which team is going to win the trophy.

I have knew blackmailing is the main reason Sreesanth to get involved in spot fixing from daily newspaper and his friend Zonardan is the main culprit of this kind of bad work.

Bascially Sreesanth's immature and he really never even tried to act upto the level that a player of his experience is expected.

I really don't know. Indian fans are always harping on about how rich the BCCI and Indian players are so I don't understand why they would have to resort to fixing to make a few rupees.

I think people like you (sir ravindar jadeja) took his place in the Indian side... but I think bookies may brain washed them to do so...

Aren't 40 lakh much money?
I too haven't seen as much money but have an Indian spirit and will never do any crime or fixing for money.
