Are fundamentalist Christians against gay marriage, because it could disprove God?

I'm still trying to understand why fundamentalist Christians are against gay marriage.

In my search for truth on that, I thought maybe it could be in the argument of "slippery slope". Maybe it's something like this:

If we allow two men to get married, then soon somebody wants to marry his dog, and cats will wanna marry trees. And if that happens penguins will marry cats...and..and... crocodiles will wanna marry ducks, and if crocodiles marry ducks, they will have babies, and those babies will be crocoducks...

And crocoducks will prove evolution, and evolution disproves God.

Could that be why they are so scared of gay marriage?

Christians fear gay marriage mostly because they think there might be a miracle birth that would make Mary's look weak.

I think they are against gay marriage because they believe what the bible says, to the letter... and the bible says that homosexuality is wrong. It also names marriage as a religious institution, therefore... if according to this religion homosexuality is wrong, how can they then allow this morally wrong relationship to complete a religious rite?

I'm not saying that I disagree with gay marriage, but... from they're point of view, it makes sense. Why can't we just let the gay's have all the rights of a married couple, and just call it something else for crying out loud? The Christians just don't want their religious rite taken from them...

You are funny....NOT!

No Christians are against gay marriage not because it could disprove God, but because it is wrong. (1 Chorintians 6:9)

Marriage was meant to be a lifelong commitment. The sanctity of marriage has been diluted as the divorse rate climbs. I feel that trying to create gay marriage will only increase the divorse rate and will make the bond of marriage weaker.

Your question is actually nonsence and it shows your ignorance.

Christians are against gay marriage the same as they are against rape, murder, theft, adultry, slander, and anyother sin. God says it is wrong, it is wrong.

On a final note, even Darwin who wrote the THEORY of evolution admitted he was wrong at the end of his life. Evolution is a theory that can not be proved. And God can not be disproved.

As for your mix breed joke, animals that are close like goats and sheep have actually tried to mix, and the result is a grotesque deformity that dies before birth or immediately thereafter.

Be careful of the mockery you make of God. You will regret it. He has a way of getting His point across to you. You just may be to stupid to see it coming.

I was raised catholic and always felt that gay people should have every right to marriage. Most people I know, if not all, feel the same. Love is love. The bible says **** about not lying with another man etc. but that is all bull just like the bible condemn women who are raped and don't scream loud enough, and condone stoning women over minor thing along with a ban against mixed fibre clothing

Okay, the reason christians are against gay marriage is because if a marriage law was passed a pastor would have to marry a gay couple if asked or be imprisoned for discrimination. This is why christians don't want a marriage law passed. As for just the act of being gay. Christians believe it is biblicaly wrong. The whole God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve argument. I have nothing against gay marriage, in fact, I believe that this is their right. But I also believe that no pastor should be forced to do something that is against their religion.
