If the Christian God is against Abortion . . .?

Why does it state in Leviticus that a woman who comitted adultery should be stoned, even if she is with child? Why did God kill the firstborn sons of Egypt? Why did God kill the baby born of a (formerly) married woman whose husband was sent to battle (by the king) to die? Or the pregnant women and babies of Sodom and Gomorah--a city wouldn't have only adults. What's the REAL story here?

I would like to know that question too. Most theist love to point out sins and trash on others in the name of there imaginary god. They also have it in their mind sets that this imaginary god can do no wrong. It is this lacking in ourselves and this need to have and be linked to this super human or super natural force transcends common sense and logic. We all see world leaders take on god like presence and from there with a slight motion kill one, ten's, hundreds, thousands and millions all in the name of doing a deities work or cleansing and purirfying a culture against another culture that is just as much apart of that area as the other. It is funny how the Christians can march against and some fundies even have killed and destroyed abortion clinics and their workers but none of them will lift a finger to fight a real cause and give the children that are already here their full attention and assistance.

The bible is merely a history book, that states the beliefs of the people at that time. That is the reason why it is so filled with inconsistancies. The churches need people to believe in it, or they'll go out of business. Don't get me wrong most churches do some wonderful things. However, your belief in God, is just that, 'Your belief'. Don't let anyone take away your beliefs. Take the bible and pick the good things that you 'truly believe', not just the ones that suit your desires and use them to be the best person that you can be. The God I believe in will think you're pretty okay if you do. As for the abortion issue, that's a decision between a woman and 'her' God. I would love for her to not have one, there are other alternatives (in most cases), and it's a decision she'll have to live with for the rest of her life. But I would never condemn her if she truly believes it to be the right decision. If you're in that position, please make an informed decision. If you have no-one else, or just feel I could be of any help please don't hesitate to e-mail me. I'm a pretty good listener. Good luck with your future. I know you'll make the right choices.

Sodom and Gomorah had bad people who were having sex with animals and having homosexual relations so God punished those cities by destroying them because they went against God's laws. The firstborn sons and firstborn animals were killed because the Pharaoh wouldn't let Moses(PBUH*) take his people(Israelites) out of Egypt. The verse in Lectivus states that because adultery(sleeping with someone who is not your wife or husband) is a sin and was a crime back then and it wasn't uncommon back in those days for adulators to get stoned to death. I'm not sure about the baby getting killed by a formerly married woman story. Perhaps she committed adultery. By the way I'm Muslim.

First of all read the Bible and you'll find the answers. Everything God did, he gave an explaination for.

History demonstrates a lot of evil and bad things, can you make the assumption everyone is evil based on history?

God is about love and redemption for a people who turned their back on their creator because they had (and still do) poor judgement in exercising their free will.

Be thankful you have a free will and liberty. Where do you think it came from? Countries that aren't God fearing (like communist) don't have liberty and free will. See the difference of God's true light and influence?

Read John 3:16, it's all about the love. Also read 1 Corinthians chapter 13 to see what true love is.

Hey, God is still killing infants and fetuses today, no need to go back to the Good Ole' Days.

The real story is three dudes sat around a campfire 2000 years ago dropping acid ,which apparently was called Frankenscence, and writing a bad horror script. It turn out quite like they wanted, but we got a religion out of it.
