get absent minded and "blonde"? (no offense blondes, thats just a figure of speech) I am 27 weeks pregnant and I am so forgetful. My husband has been teasing me about it ever since I realized I was using hairspray instead of spray deodorant on my body! Let me know if you've experienced this absent mindedness. And I'd love to have some stories to share with my husband to show him it's not just me. Thanks ladies!

OH yes it is a proven fact that womens brains do not function as well when they are pregnant!! LOL I have had my share of OMG's with each and every one of my pregnancies....very simple things most of the time like..why am I in the pantry again?, or what did I come to the store for?, even Where in the heck did I put that down I had it in my hand a second ago...given we all do this some of the time, but mine has become an everyday multiple times a day problem! LOL
YES! This does happen. I got really absentminded when normally I am on the ball. Just wait until the baby comes and all of your brain cells go out with the placenta. My sister and cousins have dubbed this "Placenta Brain". We all have it and it lasts for a while. It's hard to put your finger on why you get so forgetfull and stupid (in no way do I imply that new moms are stupid). Things that seemed so easy and natural continually gets messed up. I can't recall a specific incident but you can tell your husband that this condition is not isolated to you!
I was always like that I used to be the best at remembering things and then my husband opened the freezer and noticed blown up eggs in there. It was pretty embarrassing to me. I never knew eggs blew up if they were frozen. lol. oh then later thank god I noticed but I found the milk where the cereal was and the cereal in the fridge. I loved cereal while pregnant. Sad thing is my son is 9 months now and I seem to still have the thinking and remembering problem.
I would get interrupter and I would forget what I was talking about or what I had just said. I would constantly walk into a room and forget why I wanted to be there, I would back to where I was and try to remember and would still not remember. I couldn't remember anything. I kept saying that my daughter was sucking the life out of my brain! LOL
Yes, babies tend to do this to you. It didn't get any better for me after my kids were born (2 yrs and 9 mos). I'm so absent-minded I can't remember any good stories! I've called people and forgotten why I called them even before they answered. I can't remember the things I need to get at the store, even when I take a list.
