I'll be buying a new game on Friday afternoon, and I've narrowed it down to 2 choices:
Resident Evil 4 OR Transformers
Both of them seem rather appealing, based solely on brand perception. I'd like to know what other people think though, before I dish out the cash. I haven't seen or played either of these games first-hand.

From my experience, games based on movies, based on other things are rarely good, and definitely not as good as Resident Evil 4. It was amazing for both the gamecube and the PS2, so there's a really good chance it's amazing for the Wii. I'd go with Resident Evil.
I suggest Resident Evil 4. It is one of the highest critically acclaimed games of the past generation, and the Wii version has been declared the definitive version. The controls improve the game, the gameplay has the features of the PS2, and the visuals take the GameCube's superior visuals. Resident Evil 4 is often declared a classic of modern gaming.
Transformers, on the other hand, is a movie-based game. Such games do not have the attention to detail that other games might, as they generally expect people to purchase it solely because they liked the movie. Now, there are exceptions, such as the recent Godfather and Scarface; however, neither of these movies were riding on the hype of a concurrent movie release. Also, reviewers have not expressed such enjoyment with Transformers.
You can't go wrong with Resident Evil 4, and many would say you are only hurting yourself from missing out on a classic experience. Of course, if survival horror games have never been your style, and you are an avid Transformers fan, you may want to reconsider. But for the average gamer, Resident Evil 4 wins hands down.
Not heard much about transformers, but we have the Resident Evil 4, at first I thought we had wasted our money, because we already have the gamecube version, and it was the same game which is brilliant anyway, well when we finished it there were 5 completely new, very long chapters (like a full game on there own) so I was very pleased, you also get the original extras (Ada's mission collecting virus samples and all the mercenary missions) So it is really worth buying, the Wii remote makes playing the game a whole new experience, awesome game.
The wii is particularly lots on this is final legs at the instant and Nintendo would be desirous to sell their Wii U launch which has already been introduced to be coming to shops by the tip of the 300 and sixty 5 days. To be honest i've got no longer truly gotten back into my wii in view that monster hunter tri final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days yet i will supply this call a shot after i'm executed with mass result 3.

I havent played resident evil on the Wii yet, but i have on other consoles. I have played transformers, and it is a TON of fun! I reccommend transformers, for two reasons, one, from my experience, it is a fantastic game! and another, a lot of people will be getting it and it will be fun to be part of the rush you know? Might want to watch a couple vids on youtube (if they are on there) of both games, but try to stay away from the company made advertisements, they tend to make the game look better then it actually is. so as my answer, transformers, but either way, you will probably like the game.
