I had come home from work and there was a box on my bed with a pretty dress and some new shoes and a note that said to be ready in the next hour. I got picked up and we went out to have a wonderful dinner. He had a backpack by him at the table and gave it to me and said go change. There was gym clothes in there. He said dont question it... and then we went indoor rockclimbing.. later on that evening, we kayaked across Morro Bay to a little island and ended our date watching the sunset.
It wasnt even our anniversary...it was just a date... and I married the man later...

Being avid NASCAR fans, we attend the spring race in Texas every year. In 2006, he proposed..but not in an ordinary way. I was buying T-shirts for friends at a track trailer, and as I was walking away the guy behind the counter hollered at me...saying "Ma'am I think this is yours." And he handed me a box. I opened it and looked...in the box was a ring. Thinking he was wanting an opinion of it I told him it was very nice and started to hand it back to him. He laughed and says to me, "NO, this is yours". Realization hit me and I turned to look at my boyfriend. I asked him if he had anything to do with this, and he said he better have. LOL He was grinning and asked me to marry him. That was the most wonderful day, no second, the first was when we got married this past June.

well seeing that my boyfriend and i have only been going out for 5 months, not many memorable things can happen, but i'd say that the cutest and most surprising thing he's ever done was when he texted me at 12:01 am saying "HAPPY FIVE MONTHS!!! its been awesome so far, i miss you<3" we were both on vacation so we hadn't seen each other for like two weeks, so it meant a lot to me.

Remembering some arcane thing I said and then surprising me about it (like me mentioning spending my summers at a particular lake when I was a kid and then he gave me a nice print of that lake; mentioning I loved a certain book when I was a kid and him getting me a first edition, etc.). Sentimental stuff like that, which I love. But, it would depend upon the person I would imagine.

On Christmas morning my now husband then boyfriend came up to me after kids opened presents and sang a song to me then asked me to marry him. I said yes. That was the best gift I ever received. He can never top it. Hope this helps.
