I dont believe thats a "military term". At least I've never seen it. I know it means less than 3 and Ive never seen it mean anything else.

I think you were trying to write "superscript" 3, which is often spoken as "cubed" as in (C3) C-cubed, which stands for the abbreviation Command Control & Communications - CCC, which "looks" a little bit like c-times-c-times-c, or C-cubed.

So, if you see it correctly printed as a superscript above-and-to-the-right of a letter, it means that it is that letter repeated three times, and is an abbreviation for something.

If you are talking about what may be printed on the side of vehicles...it's a quick way to tell what company and platoon the vehicle is from.

Neither of the units I was in used this type of symbolism. So I may not be completely correct, some one help me out.
