I assume most people prefer Platinum, I also heard that Platinum is too soft for the common man so most men get white or yellow gold. Does anyone prefer the Tungsten rings? They seem to be the most heavy duty and industrial looking.

You need some diamonds too!! The Bride doesn't have to be the only one with all the bling!
I chose a platinum and yellow gold band for my husband it is large and manly with a soft wave. He gets many compliments on it and it has held up very well. Remember that you should not be wearing a wedding band if you are working on cars or in construction as it can get caught or smashed causing you to loose your finger. I would just find the one you love and dont worry about what it is made of. The dings and nicks are part of the charm to a well worn ring.
I personally think that white and yellow gold two-toned rings are the most attractive and they are very sturdy. Those are the ones that always stand out when I see men with wedding bands on. I purchased a beautiful 2-toned band for my husband last year. He loves it.
My husband had never worn rings so for him, the best was the Titanium. They're light and durable, and they're cheap! I don't know about the Tungsten ones but the Titanium are great!
I have a nice simple titanium band. It is polished on the edges and has a nice brushed look on the raised, rounded center. ....Picked it up at Target for $80!
Make sure you get the right size since Titanium is too hard to be sized.
