Yesterday, I had an interview, at a temp agency. The hiring manager kept badgering me about my bad reference.

The hiring manager never checked out my references, but insisted that they were bad. Then she kept asking me if I was frustrated about my job search three or four times. Throughout the whole interview she was abusive, and insisted that my efforts of job searching would get me nowhere, and that a normal person can get one job in less than 3 months of searching. Then she kept asking me what was wrong with me. Then she told me she was very picky about who she hired, but yet she called me into an interview. Can anyone give me advice as to why she acted like this?

It sounds very unprofessional how she conducted
herself. I would go to another temp agency to find
work.

I think thats her frustraition filtering out on you a little, she may not be happy where shes at and you just happend to be that guy that day at that time, just keep searching, hell I've had Job offers over the last 90days but the differance is what they pay versus what I need to be paid, it does one no good to take an all commision position if they are already in one and looking to get out of it

No idea. I have encountered this situations many times and I have no good impressions with job agency at all. They waste my time, puts my ego down, cast doubts over everything I said......do I need to say more? To hell with them!! Those dumb dumb think they so good they can do whatever f*ck to the candidates.

So, feeling better?

To be fair, there are also good agents out there. I have met those too. A pity, the industry cannot retain the good ones and those black sheeps stay in the game.
