If Madonna would actually get back to her musical roots and focus on the music rather than silly tabloid things, she might actually still be worth a listen. As it is now, there's nothing fresh about her newest stuff. So, I would say the answer is yes.

she might be around 50, but her music is still getting a lot of play time on the radio and in some (not all) clubs. as long as she can still get that, she hasn't expired.

NOT in terms of age, but in terms of creativity
Some of my favourite singers / musicians are in their 60's, and no where near expiring, because their creativity is still fresh.

Pretty much. The old girl had a nice run, but it can only go on for so long. She seemed like cutting edge in the early 80's (or maybe I just liked the videos), now her latest album flops and Kabbalah nonsense is just old news.
