Do you throw away the milk when it reaches its expiration date?

Or do you continue to use it a little longer?

How much longer do you continue its usage?

I go by smell. If the milk smells bad I throw it away, if not then I continue to drink it.

I use it with two day old bread and make a slack of French toast

or use it in macaroni and cheese. If not I dump it down the sink.

I would taste a little of the milk.(with a teaspoon otherwise you add bacteria to the bottle). Sometimes the milk would last four days past the expiry date. What is important is how you store the milk once you open it. If you take it out use it and then put it straight back in the fridge it will last compared to leaving it out for a long time and then putting it back in.

P.S I used to drink semi-skimmed so not sure how full cream or skimmed will last.

No. I keep the milk in refrigerator and continue to use it after the expiry date. In addition to check the smell I boil it before use.

Cows milk was intended for calves, and calves only. It has an odd sour stench to it to me already, I wouldn't drink it. Humans receive almost no health benefits from it, and are usually harming themselves [even without symptoms of an allergy or a lactose intolerance] from drinking it.

nicely, I think of with 3 days to pass it rather is nicely into the technique of spoiling. I many times won't drink it with 5-7 days to spare. i think of it stems from a formative years trauma of unwittingly eating spoiled milk for each week.

No. I use it until it begins to smell funny. The dates are just guidelines AFAIC, though I wouldn't buy it after the expiration date.
