How do you get the weird smell out of your seats after they are wet?

Like an idiot, I left my windows down last night...and it poured all night long!!! I have cloth seats, but what can I do about the weird smell that is left behind?

What I would recommend is to try and absorb the wet area with a terry cloth towel by placing it on top of the wet area than pressing firmly. If your not going to be able to do that than leave a newspaper on the wet area. After that roll down the windows and air the vehicle out if possible. Than use Fe Breeze on the interior. If it still smells the next step is to steam clean the seats and carpet. Good luck don't wait too long to try and air things out the stronger the smell the more mold and bacteria your growing in you vehicle, and breathing that in can be unhealthy.

don't feel like an idiot, it happens to a lot of people. i left my sunroof open for an entire weekend when i was away on a trip...it poured the whole time.

i took it to get it detailed. they vaccuumed the water out and cleaned the inside, it only cost me $50. other people suggested to leave the windows open and park in the sun so it airs out. or get a couple of fans and leave the doors open. there are also water absorbent towels you can buy that will suck the water out of the seats. a coworker of mine gave them to me, i'm not sure where she got them. luckily i caught it just in time before any real damage was done...the car was also brand new, i had it for only 2 weeks.

good luck!

was it the rain or did you piss on yourself while you were driving?
