* slice your tofu into 1.5 cm slabs.
* marinade for a about an hour (or however long I've got) in
oil (olive/ sesame/ walnut/ whatever)
soy sauce
chopped fresh chilli (red or green)
lemon juice
garlic
ginger
some sort of fruit cordial to give it a bit of sweetness, but you could use honey if you eat it.
* take the tofu out of the marinade, lay on a grill pan, high heat till it starts to brown.
* turn the tofu over, spoon on some of the good stuff from the marinade (chunks of chili/ ginger etc) a grill on the second side till that's brown.
* serve with something like a rice/ grain and a green salad, nothing else too flavourful!

based on the tofu and your grill, you may desire to to re-evaluate the type you prepare dinner it. if it incredibly is the mushy white silken tofu, you may finally end up sticking tofu to the grill, and the tofu will smash aside and become a terrible mess. Tofu devoid of issues absorbs flavors, too, so in case you prepare dinner it on a charcoal grill, assume that it will flavor plenty diverse than in case you cooked it on a gas grill. i think of that tofu would be greater useful in case you do no longer marinate it earlier, and use a sauce or a dip for it. Fried tofu with a dip is in many circumstances a winner, like a soy sauce dip made with soy sauce, scallions, slightly garlic and ginger, and slightly pepper. Or, you ought to use a candy soy sauce and sesame seed glaze on the fried tofu. there is likewise dissimilar panfried tofu recipes obtainable, making use of fried tofu and cooking it with vegetables a'l. a. stir fry or making use of the panfried tofu as a protein substitute in dishes. And, you may consistently ask your buddy how she likes her tofu.

Take regular tofu (firm, not silken) and let it drain for a few hours, under some pressure - chopping board with a couple of cans of food as weights will work.
Once drained, soak in soy sauce or any kind of marinade you like. Drain the liquid off again. Grill carefully, it may still crumble.

why would you grill tofu?
if you have to, get firm tofu, or baked tofu
and if it's baked tofu, you can grill it stright on the grill with no problem, brush it with oilve oil first and sauce i guess
if you just have the white firm tofu, then wrap it in foil and sauce it and bake it i guess, i've never cook like that before....
edit you can just roast vegg on the side in another foil pouch
