What Happens when your yahoo answers account is closed by yahoo??
I recently started participating on yahoo answers. OMG... I COMPLETELY LOVE IT! But I already got 2 violations for absolutely no reason! No I mean it. I didn't say anything improper or racist. I guess I just didn't agree with what someone had to say. But anyways my question is, what happens when you yahoo answers account is closed? Do you lose your screen name as well? I use this yahoo account for my PayPal and other business related contacts. I really don't want to lose my account. Does yahoo just block you from yahoo answers or is you account deleted completely?

Termination of your account varies on your offense to the Yahoo! Community.
Yahoo does not necessarily terminate your account, but rather suspend it, but only if your violation was limited.
Since you only received two violation notices and certain you never deliberately violated Yahoo! Community, then you are no where near termination ( Deleteion) or suspension, but those violations should be taken seriously, and you should also try adjust yourself to a more acceptable behavior.
Anyway, when your account is limitedly suspended, you are still able to receive Emails and send Emails, and also check your Email in Box, but you are temporarily banned from the Yahoo! Question and Answer site.
Unfortunately, if you are suspended permanently, this means your account is permanently deleted, and you will lose everything associated with the account.
Hi Isha, They will deleted your account and you won't be able to answers any questions and usually they will not allow you to be able to get on the answers site. If this does happen you can open a new account with a new home email address and a new name. I know there are some people who will report you for abuse for NO reason at all. They used to delete your entire account (email, 360, photos, games, profile, all of that included), but now when you lose your Answers account, that's all you lose. You still have access to the rest of Yahoo through your account.
No. Even when your questions and answers drops off the last page of the main display it's still on computer server hard drive as part of the search-able digital knowledge database that YA is supposed to be.
