I use Yahoo Mail to receive Graphics from Yahoo Groups.
Occasionally When I Right Click and Save As
I get the file extension "Bitmap" (only choice I am given)
How can I change these setting so I can get my
animated graphics in .gif extension and others in .jpg.. ?
I need to totally do away with Bitmap or at least have other choices

If it's sent to you as bmp you can't download it as anything else. You need a photo editing program in your computer to change format, after you've down-loaded it.
http://picasa.google.com/index.html is simple and free.
Don't know how it handles animated graphics but at least it can save a bmp photo as jpg.
