Why are many electronic products only marketed in Asia and Europe? Sometimes the US market is the last one in?

Is the USA a good test market? And with the devaluation of the US dollar, are we still a good world market?

Because many electronics for example video game companys like nintendo and sony all originally came from japan. Many electronics are made in asian countries. Japan especially has been proven to buy high tech devices far more than the average american. Because of the higher demand for electronics in asian countries( which is due to cultural differences) many niche electronic products are created specifically for the asian market. These products have a low chance of sucess in the U.S. simply because they are not practical in the U.S. Market. Some products that are very sucessful in asia do come to the U.S., but not all the time because the U.S. is a different market. Hope that helps.

the u.s. is usually the last market to receive goods because it is essentially the main goal to actually get to. like in the case of cell phones, people in asia usually have more than one, so if a certain cell phone bombs over there, they are not even going to try to sell it in the u.s. and yes, the u.s. is still the leading world market to sell goods in. or close to it.
