Do you think that we are going to pay for going green.?
If we all gave up our cars etc.It would not take long for things to grind to a halt. These green taxes are going to be paid by Joe Public.I think we are getting hood winked once again.

My, but the oil companies have you brainwashed--no offense.
This "it will ruin the economy if we "go green" lie has been swallowed by people by the millions--so I'm not jumping on you.
But THINK, dammit!.
>25 years ago cars got 17mpg on average--today that figure has not changed. Yet we can build cars--that won't cost any more--that get twice that and more. That would cut your gas bill IN HALF--and the amount of oil burned in half as well.
>Ever wonder wy compact flourescent bulbs have been around for 20 + years and are only now coming onto the mas markets? Despiite the fact that they not only save energy, but save consumers money in the long run?
>Electric cars work--the only drawback isn't performance (the new "Tessla" tops out at 130 mph) and have plenty of range for urban driving (around 200 miles per charge). And are not more expensive to buy, plus are cheaper to maintain. So why are they not on the market?
>Why--when a bill came before Congress this year to require auto companies to raise that 17 mpg average to 34 mpg over 10 years, it was the oil companies who started smending millions to kill the bill?
Look--nothing is ever all one way or the other. But New technologies (solar, wind, etc) create new jobs. Cutting gass useage and power useage saves consumers money--and all those saving s go back into the economy for other goods and services, stimulating economic growth. Every bit of hard evidence says "going green" is simply good economics and good business,, whatever the enironmental issues may be.
Unless, of course, you happen to be an oil company executive. So THINK--add up the facts, will you?

nope. I am a FIRM believer in going green. With global warming and pollution to water and the rest of the environment, it only helps.
My favorite thing to switch was my cleaning products. Try METHOD from target. It's really inexpensive and the products work great!! I love their new fabric softeners too. Did you know that conventional fabric softeners contain animal tallows? YUCK! It helped my husband too with his skin problems

You bet it is.Its also a way for the dems to gain more control on us. If people would do a little investigating on this global warming thing instead of just taking someones word for it we would all be better off.
