I'm 52!! I may be old. But I survived the 60's, The Assignation of a President, his Brother and Reverend King; Also Disco of the 70's; Watergate; Hair Bands of the 80's, Jimmy Carter's Presidency; and finally 9/11. I may be boring, because there doesn't seem to be much of anything that can impress me. Certainly not $3.00 for a gallon of gas!! Not when I was paying 50 cents a gallon as a teenager!....Show more

Well, sure, there are plenty people out there, old and young, who just aren't great conversationalists. But just because someone doesn't have much charisma, doesn't mean what they say has no value......

Most old people I know can tell some great stories, If you'll take the time to listen....(assuming their memory isn't kaput)

I hope you realize that, like it or not, someday you too will grow old. If you've lived your whole life expecting other people to *entertain* you all the time, then chances are, you will end up even more boring then they are.....

Follow the golden rule; treat elderly people the same way you would like to be treated......

candy?? funny, we have done everything your thinking of or will ever think of doing. We live our lives in the hopes that the youth of the day will find it's own way and lead us as a country to better times.
We are not so much boring as we are tired of carrying the burdens of working to pay the taxes that pay for your education and more.
Give an older person a chance to enlighten you, I hope my vernacular is not too over your young brain....Show more

Old people are boring because the kinds of questions they ask actually require thinking, sometimes, in order to be able to answer them, and a lot of their answers are not as superficial as the ones you are used to giving so you don't recognize them as being other than boring.
