I've been told it's old and boring...what do you think of it?

No, not at all! It's such a stunning, underused, classic. I don't find it boring. It's quite intriguing, especially amongst all the Kaylee's, Mckenna's, and Mckenzie's. I also don't imagine an old woman - I think of an adorable little girl.
Viola Wilde, as another answer mentioned, DOES sound like a character in a fairytale. Any girl would love to have such a name!

Its definitely NOT old nor boring its GORGEOUS
Just like Isabella was old then gain popularity, Viola is actually cuter however less common.
Viola will definitely gain popularity after few years, specially that i has been used in a movie for a young character.
I think Viola Wilde is just beautiful and flows really well, i love Viola as its an underused flower name, its not old at all. Its way better that the caylee and the Kylie everyone is calling your daughters.

Its ..... okay . You do know that there's a string instrument called a Viola , too ? It's related to a violin and is used for melody , and to keep the song rich and peaceful and balanced . Basically , there the ones that make the orchestra sound good . I once the viola , I loved it . I loved how it sounded so velvety ....
Am I trailing off ? Sorry . Anyways , I think its cute and different . I've actually never heard a person with that name in my lifetime . Huh , that's weird . Yeah , so I like it's unique and beautiful . Go for it ! Viola Wilde is a gorgeous name ! With that name she outta be famous when she grows up !

Viola isn't boring at all! It's a beautiful, elegant, old-fashioned intelligent-sounding name. Anyone who thinks it's "old and boring" probably prefers trashy-trendy names like Mikkenzeigh or Brayleeanna.
Viola Wilde sounds wonderful...I picture a beautiful, cultured, sophisticated woman with long, upswept dark hair...a poet or a painter or an author.

I don't think it is old and boring. I actually think it is a very interesting name. I prefer Violet, but Viola isn't all that awful either. Viola Wilde sounds really nice in my opinion.

It's definitely NOT! Viola is classy, underused, beautiful...it's one of those words that paints a pretty picture in your mind. Viola Wilde sounds like a character in a fairytale. The last thing it is is old and boring! I say bring back the older, traditional names!

I don't really like it. I take French in school and viola translates into something like 'here it is.' pretty odd. It also reminds me of the instrument, viola.

I think it is about personal taste. If you like it and your husband likes, then you should go with that name. Personally I like it. If your husband isn't keen on it, you could make Viola the middle name.

Well, it IS old, but so are the names Ruby, Madeline, Stella, Ava, Emma, Grace, etc. I just don't care much for the name Viola (or Violet). It sounds okay with Wilde, but not great.
