Living in Florida 6 moths a year!!?
I would like to live in florida for 6 months per year and have been asking about my medicade and food stamps with the local office with no luck.My question - I am on SSI and the cold winters in Indiana make it almost impossible to function so I would like to move to florida for 6 months per year.So does anyone have any real life knowledge on the process to transfer medicade and food stamps or if I even can do this!!
My local office says I could lose my benefits all together doing this but I have been told it may be possible.
Thank you for any advice!
I am totally disabled and unable to work and do many normal tasks and the winters here kepp me 100% confined to inside. My doctor is writing up a report for SSI and my medical aand food benefits but not sure I want to it if I could lose my SSI!
My SSI payments r direcvly deposited into a checking account with a checking debit card.My local office said if I dont use my food stamps every month I will lose them and that I could not leave the state for more than 30 days ata time.
That is what I mean the ppl at the office make a person feel bad!
I would be living in a RV at a RV park during the cold months!
Thank you all so far for the super info!!
