Paying a credit card with a credit card?

I have a credit card with 9% interest rate that has no balance and I want to pay off a store card since it has a higher rate but I was told by the credit card company that I can no longer use the transfer feature. Can I still use the 9% card to pay off the store card and still get the 9%? or would the credit card company know it is a transfer when I pay off the store card with it and change the rate - can they do this?

actually no..after you have gone past your introductary time frame for bal transfers you are no longer able to transfer( thats how they get you to open a card with them).. and in it's most simple form, paying one with another is a transfer.. it can't b done.. you could get cash off your card and pay the bill but this will cost significantly more in intrest..

Call the credit card company with the 9% rate and see if the Balance Transfer rate is also 9%. Also ask if there is any fees associated with Balance Transfers. More importantly what is the rate on the store card ? (usually store cards are obscenely high)
