I am not a bad person , but i do not like cats . i dont smoke , i dont drink but i can not afford a bigger aparment , i am wiling to pay for their food an but no shelter whant them .
I'm amused that everyone else is telling you to find a no-kill shelter -- good luck!! They are almost always filled to the brim with animals, especially cats. Finding a no-kill shelter to take in 2 older cats would be like finding a diamond on the beach. riiight.
Try on your own to find them homes. Make SURE you charge an adoption fee. You can list animals on the Classified sections of petfinder.com
Be warned of people who want your pet for free. Often they are Class B researcher dealers? They pick up animals for free and sell them to research labs. Don't believe me? see my citation below.
Because you really seem to care about the welfare of these cats, I do wish you well. You already said that no shelter wants your cats, but check the phone book and maybe you can find a no-kill shelter that has room for them. While you have the phone book open, look for good, local veterinarians, who are always a great choice to find good homes. And check for cat rescue organizations; they are wonderful places for kitties, because sometimes they get to live in foster homes while they wait for their forever homes. But, you've already gotten some great advice here on Yahoo, so best of luck to you and your cats! :)
May I suggest the following: 1 - Many times your local paper will you run a free ad regarding free animals. 2 - Your local animal shelter may take in the animals so long as you are willing to sign over all rights to the pet. 3 - There are also several animal resuce groups who can make arrangements to pick up your animals. 4 - And lastly, if they are pure breeds they can be given over to specific groups that handle only one breed or another.
We wish you the best of luck with your cats. And I do pray for their welfare and look forward to helping anyone with similar pet needs...... VP iNARS
Take your cats to a NO KILL animal shelter make a few callls to find one in your area. A vet is a good place to start many will come pick up your animals also.
