If you came as a visitor to the US, can you obtain employment without a visa, green card or social security number?

If an alien in the U.S. does not have a work visa, an Employment Authorization Document, a green card, or a social security number, that alien does not have authorization to work in the United States.

Visitors are not permitted to work. Visitors who work are subject to arrest and deportation.

It's that simple.

All he needs is his Mexican passport. His expired license can be used as ID. He won't be coming back for quite some time. At his interview he will be denied a visa and given a 10 year ban on returning. You are then going to have to file a waiver for his visa denial and the ban. He has to stay in Mexico until he is given permission to return. Could be a few months to a year if the waiver is approved,10 years if it is not.

No. If someone not from the US obtains employment without a visa, green card or SSN, that is illegal, both the person and the employer can be in big trouble.

Not legally. That doesn't stop the thousands of illegals here though or the wealthy crooks that employee them.
