Who Pays For Your Medical Insurance?

Another one...who pays for your medical insurance?? The place i work for pays for my full coverage with NO out of pocket expence on my part and NO money taken out of my paycheck? Does your company also pay for you or do you have to pay some out of pocket money?? If i had a choice i choose them to dock me my half hour lunch as long as they are paying for my medical insurance..thats more important to me..What do you think??

My company does pay for health insurance. Basically, the board of education set aside a certain amount to cover each employee for health insurance. We can use this allotment toward health insurance, dental and vision, and choose whatever we want. If we opt NOT to get health insurance we get $900 back in January, which I am getting because my husband is in the union and they pay for your insurance and automatically cover spouses. The nice part is that I opted to have TWO vision insurances (I wear glasses and contacts, so this is helpful) and TWO dental insurances (also helpful since dental insurance sucks).

I would totally choose to have medical insurance paid for. Insurance is quite expensive and since I've had experience having to go to the doctor WITHOUT insurance, I would never want to do it again!!

Im disabled, but when I was working the company paid for our health insurance. It was a Union shop(Teamsters) and they got us our benefits, no out of pocket expenses. It was a great and still is a great insurance that the Union fought for and got for us. To answer your other question, If it came down to it I would take getting docked a half hour to keep my insurance. Its a small price to pay to have health insurance today.

they keep changing it....I wasn't paying then I was paying with a co payment.... now I am not paying no co pay but I have to pay for 1500 dollars then they will cover 80% till I reach a yearly out of pocket maximum of 5500 then they pay it all....

they also have weird rules about what is preventative which they cover from fully and what is continuing. so actually it will probably work out that as long as nothing major happens the payout will be close to the same it just gets paid differently....
