-Make sure you check your keyword density on your pages
-Do a keyword search with google
-Create content rich pages
Insure proper Meta Coding
---Site title, Description, and keywords all work together with the content of your site.
-Index with DMOZ.org
-Creat a SiteMap for google
Pay Per Click Campaigns like Google AdWords

SEO is the life blood of a site though... you need to do some research and find the best keywords then do some backlinking such as blog commenting on relevant sites or forums. And your site has to be interesting too for people to want to visit it.
