How much gas does a Prius need to start?
If you run out on the side of the road, can you put in 1 gal like in a normal car and get it started?
I was just told that it requires at least 5 gal in the tank to start.

You need as much gas as you do so car will not run out. Prius is regular gas car but also has electric engine which work together. Car will run on just electric but is not intended to use in this manner.and electric motor does not have enough power to keep car going at normal speed.
