Is having multiple accounts on Yahoo! Answers a violation of Terms of Service?

I've recently had somebody report several of my questions and answers, and I'm worried that my account will soon be deleted by the automated system before Customer Care has a chance to read my appeals.

I was hoping to slow down the rate of violations to my primary account by forming a secondary account. I will be using both accounts, but I will not be using them to troll for points or cheat in any other way. The second account is simply a backup account that I'll be using instead of my primary account to give Customer Care enough time to read through my appeals and determine whether or not I actually was in violation of the terms of service.

Would forming and using this second account be in violation of the Terms of Service or Community Guidelines? I don't want to open and use it if doing so will get my old account deleted.

Thanks in advance.

They SAY it is OK, as long as you follow the rules:
"Having an extra account in itself is okay as long as you follow our community guidelines. "

I don't think it's fair because you can keep giving yourself the best answer for your questions (like this one)
But obviously you dont care if they deleted you becaue you just snitched on yourself.

alot of people have multiple accounts and mark their questions and answers private. just don't use your accounts to vote for yourself and there should be no issue regarding violating the community standards.

Only it the case that you use it to gain points

"creating multiple accounts or posting content for the sole purpose of gaining points or soliciting others for points is not permitted."

Yes. I think so. I have a few accounts which I have neglected. Yahoo Answers tracks you down and will delete them. In fact, my cousin created an account using my computer (her first account) and it got deleted probably because they thought I have multiple accounts.

In the end I went back to those accounts and deleted the whole Yahoo Id.
