Is having fun a violation of Yahoo! Answers terms of service?
Hi badhabyt.
But what are these TOS?
They aren't on one page; no apparent human agent in Yahoo! Answers seems to adjudicate reports, and there is a degree of vagueness.
Hurry and please comment on the details here before some reporter troll has it deleted.

You have to realize the monetary value of a YA account is zero.
Just make multiple accounts and start getting them up the level 3 silently, make them all the same avatar and profile.. as you skip between accounts, you will spread out your Vn's and your accounts will not be deleted because you get few Vn's on each. as soon as you get 2 vn"s on an account just start using a different one, wait a week or two before using that account again, you will also confuse report trolls because they will get bored with only being able to follow 1/5 of your questions. they will get bored and stalk someone else..

Sometimes it is. I can't resist being a little snippy occasionally, and making a good joke, which sometimes goes unappreciated. The key is to make sure you answer the question.
The TOS can be found here: http://answers.yahoo.com/info/about;_ylt=Ak8FzejBd... Click on Community Guidelines.
Preferred reporters can get a q or a deleted almost immediately. If those reports are invalid and the person they reported contests the reprot and wins, they will lose credibility and not have as much immediate power.

Update: Did you know that if you claim to be a horse on YA, that is a TOS violation. Also, posting that you are under thirteen is a TOS violation.
TOS violations are the most serious and they will zap you quick. Most people who get zapped for things other than vile, racist things do one of the following:
1. Post links or ask for links to copyrighted material, usually music, ringtones, or movies. Giving someone a link to a youtube video of your favorite band is illegal in many cases. Any p2p site reference is a problem.
2. Posting or asking for sites for free but pirated software, giving keys to software, or similar illegal activities.
3. Asking for people to give them accounts to sites or asking people if you can use their info and account. That is illegal in most cases.
4. Putting up codes or asking for codes for things like Coke Rewards. That is illegal in most cases.
5. Posting your website that may have business sections or sells anything. That is solicitation.
6. Posting links to scams, get rich quick schemes, work at home scams, or spam.

Fun can be had if done within the rules. The problem is that the Q&A rules must be followed first (community guidelines). That is the number one rule of this site. Fun is not against the TOS, unless the post violates the TOS in some other way.

How can asking a Q be considered chatting? improve a ******* techniques. the reason it have been given deleted replaced into because of the fact the nameless, pizza confronted nerds who run YA have no thank you to particular themselves forcefully interior the real international, so as that they sit down of their little scum crammed pond, deleting Q's and A's at random, just to experience great approximately themselves. they have shitty little no longer something lives exterior their computing device's so as that they take their sexual frustrations out on people who're purely attempting to invite a functional Q like "Are you addicted to Yahoo! solutions?". Frankly, the mods are people who decide on violating, ideally with a crooked broomstick. (examine this rapidly, 'reason some nerdy little **** is gonna delete it as quickly as they end hyperventilating).
