Whats your biggest catch on rod and reel?

Mine was this 10 ft 1 inch critter . It was a heckuva fight on 200 lb test on an old spinning reel and an 8 ft rod. Thankfully my sweetheart was there to finish him off once I got it reeled in.

Mine was when I was living near San Diego, Ca. Went fishing for Albacore with my dad and a friend, in a 19 ft Cabin cruiser.
We had hooked some albacore and sharks are known to try and take a snack, because they can not catch them when they are swimming free. Well I got this bite and it did not feel like a tuna (albacore is a tuna, expensive kind) it ended up being a Hammerhead shark, did not weight it (wonder why LOL). From comparing it to the boat we where in figured it to be some where around 9.5 -10 ft long.
Other than that 8# LM & 6.5# SM. But hard to remember with all the fish I have caught during my life span of 60 yrs. But the shark sticks in my mind due to they way they look with their eyes on the ends of their head.

Well.......I can't compete with a croc! What a catch and a challenge. I fish freshwater and my biggest fish was a 10 lb. largemouth bass. I caught a snapping turtle but can only estimate about 30-40 lbs. on 8lb. test braided line and Shakespeare Ugly Stick. Clever that you say critter so we are all surprised at what we see! :-)

For me it was a 30lb tarpon caught in the flats of the Bahamas, i know its not a huge fish and considered small when it comes to tarpon, but it was caught on a fly rod when i was only fishing for bone-fish, i had switched to a 70lb tippet to prevent a snap off, however i was only using a 8wt rod, when i should have been using a nine and i hooked him far out and took 20 minutes to land on the light tackle, a few times i thought the hook was going to come out, I'm hooked myself on saltwater fly fishing for tarpon and when i get the chance i will go again.

25 lb carp caught off topwater, with 8 lb test. Or a 45 lb snaping turtle caught on my Musky rod, with 60 lb test braided
