Republicans: Will your patriotism for the president remain the same if/once Hillary or Obama become president?
Since Republicans like to call those who "bash" GWB unpatriotic and anti-American. Will Republicans treat Hillary or Obama the same way?

I would embrace Obama. Clinton I would accept and be at the ready watching every move and listening. However, WC be certain the GOP will have more to go at Clinton that she will never survive. Like Federal campaign finance & ethics committee violations. Just start with Chinese dirty laundry & no records and work down. This election the Clintons will not bypass the internet affect. Sorry. I can not see a whimpy Commander In Chief anyway. Over one primary she has no nads. Bad gameplan and it shall haunt them.

Appearances can be deceptive . Thanks.

Yes. I've stressed the importance of respecting the President no matter who they are. But I tend to be a lot less "my way or the highway" than some.
I don't understand "bashing" candidates so much. At least not in the lude and crude sense but I don't understand doing that to anyone. It kind of debases yourself when communicating and basically leaves you looking less than intelligent.
I have pointed out things that I am concerned with but tend to stay away from bashing, I even call her Clinton or Senator Clinton because her title is not "Hillary".
That's just how I was raised though...
In fact. At this point I see this necessary respect becoming a real possibility.

Patriotism has nothing to do with the President. Your patriotism is for a country not a individual. I still loved and believed in this country when Jimmy Carter was president, but to this day believe he was the worst President in my life time. And is now the worst ex-president. So I would still be Proud of the USA if obama or Hillary were Pres... Yes of course, who knows one of them could top Jimmy on my list...but I doubt it.

Of course they will. I can't say that I am Bill Clinton's biggest fan, especially now that I know so much more about the Illuminati, and the New World Order, and PNAC and CFR, and NAFTA, and CAFTA, and all of those vile things that BC is just as much a part of as any of the rest of the mainstream politicians. However, I did feel like it was extremely hypocritical and vile, the way the conservatives went after Bill with anything they could. They finally had to settle for a BJ, because nothing else would stick. And the rest of the world was laughing at us, for the terrible hypocrisy, and the pettiness of the whole thing. Yet, when a conservative president blatantly violates the constitution in so many ways that bankrupts our country, and threatens our very freedom, and all the vile things Dubya has done, the Bushites get all up in arms, as if they could possibly believe that he is innocent of all charges. But he was not, and is still not! You can spin things any way you want, but you cannot change the truth. I cannot wait to see the egg on their faces when the truth finally becomes undeniable to the whole world about Bush! *sm*

The Office of the Prisident deserves respect from all citizens. Don't think of it as respecting the person holding the office, so much as respecting the democratic process that put him there.
The person holding that office may be legitimately criticized, of course, but wanton 'bashing' is damaging to the institution of the executive branch of our government. Which is a bad thing, unless you're an anarchist or hate America, that is.
