Best spa is Dolce Vita Day Spa. 5 star rating in all areas:

Also, you could take her out to a romantic dinner at Da Marco's off Westheimer. Excellent food/service. There's also Michelangelo's or Sorrento's on lower Westheimer which have piano players and again great food/service.

You should go to SpaFinders at www.spafinders.com. It's a spa resource site that's reputable and covers spas from around the world. You can also get a review of the spa to determine which are considered the best. The site will also let you know if there are specials in your area. I've used this service for years and have never had any problems.
Another good resource for folks moving to a new city is to check out www.yelp.com. Put in your city and get reviews from actual users in your community. It offers a cohesive community that involves after work activities and fun gatherings by other yelp users.
Best of luck to you and your wife.

Urban Retreat, The Houstonian, Beautique in the Village is ok. Personna Day Spa is nice too -Allison is wonderful for facials and stuff (don't think she does massages). Massage Envy is good for a quickie massage, but does not have a good spa environment.
