How can the US be called 'imperialistic?"?

The US still has troops in Britain, Japan, Germany and Korea by treaty post WWII...the US had troops in the Philippines, Taiwan and France also by treaty, but were asked to leave or voluntarily withdrew...Doesn't sound "imperialistic" to me.

Imperialistic is a term frequently employed by America-haters. Those people don't normally have a good grasp of the definition of imperialism.

When I hear people call America imperialistic I know I have listened to the words of a fool

Guessing this is sarcasm. Good point. Germany wants us out too. Japan wants us out of Okinawa and we are doing base consolidations. Iraq has asked in the past for us to leave we stayed.

Only libbies insist we're imperialistic.
