Can you use a car polish on a bowling ball?
or will it eat away the coating?
im talking about the good bowling balls not the plastic ones.
Also what about rubbing compound what would be the effects?

No its too strong it would eat away at the coating.

Why would you want to? There is a list of USBC approved polishes and cleaners. If you were to put car polish on a bowling ball and used that ball in a sanctioned tournament, you would be disqualified for using an illegal foreign substance.
