Put several drops of tea tree oil on a tampon. Your infection should be gone after 2 or three tampon changes. Treatment can occur even when you are not having your period. If you are not on your period, change the tampon 2-3 times per day, adding tea tree oil each time. Works like a charm.

Possible causes of yeast infections:

- when you have a bowel movement, you have to wipe front to back; never back to front
- excessive yeast consumption from pastries, breads, beer
- excessive sugar consumption
- tight clothes that don't breathe
- pantie liners that don't breathe
- antibiotics
- poor genital hygiene
- processed food consumption instead of whole foods

Many women experience dryness during the period just before, during, and after their menstrual cycle. This can cause itching that is not associated with yeast, and is only due to the reduction of vaginal lubrication. Use some type of vaginal lube during this time to help.

Your cycle is your body's "cleansing period" and it will help rid the yeast infection. I would discontinue the last treatment, because you should'nt do a treatment while youa re on your period. I would stay away from the tampons this time and use pads and panytliners.
