how to get rid of the white line on my pool?

i have a rock pool (the ones with the boulders around it) and it has a white line around the pool and water fall and spa.
how do i get rid of it without removing or damaging the paint on the boulders

Try a little muratic acid. It'll work, just spot check first for your paint's reaction.
Also, CLR-Calcium, Lime and Rust remover'll do the trick.
