decorating vintage apartmentq?

I just moved into a vintage apartment in oak park IL, anyone have any inexpensive, crafty, fun ideas for decorating that I can do myself? I'm running short on ideas. I can't paint or put holes in the walls.

You say "vintage" but I'm not quite sure what sort of vintage you're talking about. Whatever the case may be, you can create removable "wallpaper" (fabric, hung up using a water & starch mixture) that won't hurt the walls, and you can even take it with you when you move! Marked down fabric can be found at Walmart, fabric stores, etc. Sheets in a pattern you like would work, too--but it may be harder to get enough material inexpensively to do the trick. Doing this, you can go funky, romantic, or whatever style your heart--and tastes--desire.

Get inexpensive accents at thrift & discount stores you can use as is, or paint if need be. (Dollar General/Family Dollar would be cheapest regular stores, but you can find good deals at places like TJ Maxx & Burlington Coat Factory too). Oh, and don't forget eBay, your local Freecycle group, and yard sales too!
