Too much..they shouldn't cost anything.

Hang around a range and make some friends. I did that when I was younger and came up with lots of clips from guys who had so many they were happy to spare a bunch.

I see them out there for $1, $2, MORE...I cringe.

I bought 5 for a dollar each at a gun store only then to discover that surplus Greek 30-06 was available and already on clips.
Depending upon how long you wait, availabilty and price may change. I got a good feeling that the clips won't be too terribly expensive any time soon. For right now, I wouldn't buy them. If you look hard enough, you can find the proper M2 loading for the garand and the ammo will already be on clips.

Whatever you get, make sure it isn't over 165 gr. 150 gr is best. You start going 180 gr and higher and you run a serious risk of bending (or worse) the operating rod. A decent replacement will run you over $100 up to $200. Keep the loads light.

I once saw a guy at a gun show that had 10 of them he said I can have for $20.00, I should have baught them.
