We've had everything. And now we are without everything.
Now we rely on what reception we can get in on overcast and
rainy days, etc. We first were with a couple different cable
companies, then we got tired of the increases in cost after
their intro fees had stopped. Then we switched to the dish,
and liked the lessor cost, but service was often interrupted.
We had men come out to change the location of the dish but
that helped little. So now we're back to doing without of alot
of our favorite cable shows and watch just the local channels.
And if there's none worth seeing, we watch one of the old ones in our large collection over again. Or we read, or are
on the computer, which is where I most often am. Even tho
we enjoy the cable shows, it isn't worth the almost $50.00
a month, which we can't afford now anyway. They raised our
rent by $50.00 a month, so that we have no choice in. So it's
rent, vs cable. And that's the way it is.

We have cable TV. Even though we live near the center of our city, the dish signal in our neighborhood is not great-we suspect we live too close to the transmitter or perhaps it is the trees that breakup the signal. I wish there were more competition for the cable company, the prices keep increasing and the channel line-up is changing...again. We went without cable for 2 years, but my husband prefers cable for sports and I do like many of the cable networks.

No way!
I have an "antennae" service offered by our local cable company which eliminated the "rabbit ears" I used. It costs 9.95 a month. That's the most I am willing to pay for anything on TV. Antennae service gets me the local channels and a coupla shopping thingies, a few religious sites and that's it.
Be dammed if I would actually pay for bad TV....I can get all I want for next-to-nothing. Besides, that 40 or 50 dollars a month looks good in my savings account.....helps me travel and cruise......
If I really want to watch a good movie, I have a collection of over 300 videos and DVD's with films that most channels don't show.

Yes A TV with cable from service provider. But no dish. We get almost 60 channels.

We have cable....used to have a dish....never again. A lot of the stations are based on the East Coast. We live on the West Coast (3 hour difference), so the TV schedule was always "off" by 3 hours.
