I have 52 Inquiries on my credit reports?

33 of them are from 10-22-07 thru 11-07-07. How many inquiries will that show that I have? I have heard that If you have several in a 2 week period, it only counts as one inquiry. Is that true?

I havent had any inquiries since then, and had to buy a car, at that time. Otherwise we wouldn't have done it then.

Most of those inquiries were submitted by 2 car dealers, not me.

Auto finance is what I do for a living and the answer is yes, any inquiries for either a home or car within a 14-day period are all lumped together and only count as one.

They all show, but your score only gets dinged once.

Generally the rule is that if you have several inquiries in a few weeks they only count as 1. This only applies to auto loans and mortgages. It seems odd that your auto dealer would have had to run your credit 33 times....You can always file a dispute with the credit reporting agencies to see if they can clear some of those.
*Something to keep in mind is a hit on your credit as opposed to an inquiry. A hit is when creditors peek at your credit to send you solicitations. Those do not affect your credit score but sometimes people do get confused between the two. You are also allowed to get a copy of the credit report since they ran the credit, I suggest you start there

No That Is Not True. And You Should Not Be Applying For That Much Credit It Is Bad For Your Credit Score.

I would be more concerned about the fact you have 52 inquires on your report, not how it effects your score.
